This website is a hommage to Stanton Instruments Limited (SI in short), a now largely forgotten British company which specialised in the design and manufacture of high-precision balances and weights.
Though long out of business many artefacts and a certain amount of information remain of this great firm.
The aim of these pages is to make available and preserve what info I have on SI, to encourage people to come forward if they have any more material and to showcase SI products. In this sense it is also a kind of virtual museum of a bygone area of balance making.
